A Brief History of Soupsa and
Voova Children's Line
Original fiber art by Terry Cohn
My fiber interests stem from my love of
color, texture, and asymmetry.
My
daughters Leah and Sarah have been inspirational in my developing my fiber arts
business which began by designing clothes and children’s jackets for them over
20 years ago.
I chose the name Soupsa & Voova to thank Leah and Sarah. Leah had given her younger sister Sarah the name Soupsa before she was born. To this day, Sarah is still occasionally referred to as Soupsa. Leah had the distinction of hopping on a free Big Wheel bike on the block and claim she was peddling off to Voova’s house. Voova was only mentioned on Big Wheels.
My jackets are reversible and button closed with unique buttons. The spring/summer jackets are 100% cotton and the fall/winter jackets have one side that is fleece. The sizes range from newborn to 3 months, 3 to 6 months, 6 to 9 months, 1 year, and 2 year.
The booties are a felted wool/rayon mix, sized for newborn to 3 months and 3 months to 6 months.
